The European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS: Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes) is a professional organization of doctors other than general practitioners in the European Union, founded in 1958. It represent about 1.4 million specialists.
UEMS promotes a high level of training for the future European medical specialists in the Six Common Market countries and common general criteria, applicable to all specialists wishing to move from one member country to another.
