This is an online article published in The electronic scientific site “Quality In Health”, written by Konstantinos Theologou, Prof. of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
In this are described the falls during hospitalization that can be classified into three categories which are accidental falls due to accident (external factors), the expected cases (eg in case of confusion) and unexpected falls from new medical event (syncope or vascular stroke). Appropriate interventions are suggested in each category, so as to be applied in care centers.
