About Madalena Gomes da Silva:
I am a senior lecturer, with a physiotherapy background and a PhD taken at Kings College London. I teach in the area of older people care in the physiotherapy undergraduate. At post graduate I supervise research projects also in the area os elderly care – namely physical activity profiles, sedentary profiles, associations with various health determinants. We are also developing on a home based individual fall prevention programe. I Coordinate the Consortium Agedness, which is part of the A2 group of the European Innovation Partnership.
ProfouND Role:
I believe my role could be focused on inter-disciplinary training, at all levels, for fall prevention (family, informal and formal carers, health professionals); individual home based fall prevention programe.
