About Alan Bourke:
Researcher in the area of fall-detection, ambulatory monitoring of older adults and real-time foot trajectory using wearable MEMS based kinematic sensors, with the aim to increase the autonomy and self-confidence older people.
Areas of interest include:
• Ubiquitous monitoring of the older adults using wearable sensors
• Accurate classification of movement and the detection of falls using kinematic sensors

Fall detection algorithm development for body worn sensors.
