About Ann Smith:
I am a commissioning manager for adult service health and wellbeing I manage a team of commissioners who work closely with health partners on a wide range of service redesigns and developments, my typical day can involve planning with CCGs regarding unscheduled care and integrated developments to working with District Council partners regarding home adaptations. I lead a number of projects across the Council including aids, adaptations and equipment, extra care, care home improvement and falls. I have a personal interest in Parkinsons disease as my father lives with this condition I have a busy family life in which my husband, children and myself enjoy walking. I can also talk for quite a length of time about ‘Game of Thrones’ Educated to master level I am about to undertake specific Public Health modules at Manchester University.
ProfouND Role:
I am currently leading a project to redesign home improvement services across Lancashire, this has involved the development of a ‘Healthy Homes Assessment’ which is designed to identify environmental falls risks and provide practical interventions at the time of assessment, I am working with The new economics foundation to embed outcomes in this work and to undertake a Social return on investment, I have recently been asked to be to be the LCC Falls lead
