About Ellinor Nordin:
Specialized in gerontology and geriatric medicine. Graduated as a PhD in 2008 with a thesis entitled “Assessment of balance control in relation to risk of falling among older people”. Engaged in national work and development for older people’s health. Previous associate member of PROFaNE.
Clinical experience includes rehabilitation in: Rheumatology; pulmonary medicine; psychiatry; inpatient and outpatient care for community elderly and disabled adults; falls and injury prevention, health and care for people with stroke, dementia, pain, malnutrition, and palliative care and support to relatives.
Currently working 75% at Umeå University as a temporary lecturer, and 25% in Umeå municipality.
Relaxes with skiing (downhill & crosscountry) and games of floor ball and foot ball depending on the season 🙂
ProfouND Role:
Initially representing the municipality of Umeå in joint membership with Region Västerbotten. Today part time clinically active in residential facilities for older people with dementia.
