Falls and fall injuries – How to avoid falling (Swedish)

This leaflet from Southern Sweden addresses patients with fall risk in the hospital and in the primary health care in Malmö, Sweden, and includes a general description of mobility and activity, nutrition, vision and hearing, medication (as fall risk) osteoporosis, dizziness and balance, how to get help in your home and therefore be able to avoid hazardous situations (f.ex changing light bulbs), and tips on what to do and act and be aware about. Checklists on how to make your home more safe and one for aids and safe environment outdoors is included, as well as exercises for general mobility, muscle strength and balance.

The leaflet was updated by representatives from the primary health care and municipalities in the South Sweden in September 2014. The leaflet is provided by the Skåne University Hospital Malmö and the Primary Health Care, Malmö, and is available for downloads:
