About Klara Zalatnai:

I hold the position of president at Hungarian Osteoporosis Patient Association (HOPA).
I studied pharmacy at Semmelweis University Budapest and graduated as master of pharmacy in 1968 before working thirteen years for National Institute for Pharmacy. From 1981 to 2003 I have been in different positions for Hungarian subsidiary of Sandoz Pharma, later for Novartis Hungary and from 2003 to 2005 as marketing adviser for Aventis Hungary.
I have been involved in activity of Foundation of Early Prevention of Bone and Joint Diseases, the Hungarian Society of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthrology and “Fill Years with Life” Hungarian Association of Pensioners’ Clubs and of Elderly People.
I have an ongoing interest in fall prevention, health literacy, patient education and social media (FB and linkedin), in my private life in listening music and traveling.
HOPA is a nonprofit, nongovernmental umbrella organization including groups operating at various places in the country: patient clubs, lifestyle clubs, associations, self-support groups (21).HOPA is full member of International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and International Alliance of Patient Association (IAPO), associate member of European Patient’s Forum (EPF).

ProfouND Role:

Within WP8 HOPA act to disseminate and implement best practice interventions across Hungary, identify and support test beds for implementations and for WP6 provide data on process and outcome variables. HOPA will also participate in WPs 3,4,6&7 providing input, feedback and translation on toolkits and best practice guidance, updating website content and supporting ICT Technology for Falls Forum activities.
